Our Mission

The Southwest Indiana Association of Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors (SWIPHCC) is dedicated to fostering the success of its members by promoting professionalism through comprehensive education and training initiatives. We strive to provide exceptional leadership within the industry, setting high standards and advocating for the advancement of plumbing, heating, and cooling practices.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Our plumbing contractor members undergo rigorous training through an apprenticeship program meticulously designed and approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training, a department of the United States Department of Labor, and the Indiana Plumbing Commission. This extensive program spans up to four years, equipping apprentices with the essential skills and knowledge required to become licensed journeymen. Further dedication is expected, as a minimum of two years of practical experience working under the guidance of a licensed contractor is necessary before aspiring to take the state examination for licensure. This stringent process ensures that contracting firms serving the public have at least one member holding a valid contractor license, prominently displayed in their office, on their service vehicles, and within all advertising materials.

Continuous learning is a cornerstone of the SWIPHCC. Our members actively engage in ongoing training sessions held at regular meetings and the annual statewide convention, staying abreast of the latest industry advancements and ensuring their expertise remains at the forefront.
