Welcome to Long's Air Conditioning, Inc., a family-owned and operated business that has been proudly serving Central Florida since 1947. Our story began when Kenny Long's father, Ivan G. Long, started Ivan G. Long Electrical & Refrigeration Service and Avon Cabinet Shop in Avon Park, Florida. Kenny grew up in Avon Park and attended Avon Park Elementary School, where he lettered in football and circus (yes, you read that right - circus!). He graduated from Avon Park High School in 1960, received several awards, and was a standout student.
Our Story
Kenny joined the United States Marine Corps in 1960, and during his time in the Marines, he held several positions, including Right Guide, which was the person in charge of the Platoon when the Drill Sergeant was not present. He graduated from Tank Commander School in 1961 and was promoted to Private First Class. He continued to serve his country with honor and distinction.
After his time in the Marines, Kenny returned to Avon Park and founded Long's Air Conditioning, Inc. with his wife, Freda. Together, they built a reputation for providing top-notch HVAC services, repair, and installation for residential and commercial clients. Kenny's extensive experience in the industry, combined with his military background, has made him an expert in his field.
