Founded by Hugh DeWeerd, the business began as a home-based operation using a personal garage for parts storage and a pickup truck for service calls. Over decades, the company expanded its facilities, including a move to a former church basement in 1975 and the construction of a dedicated showroom and office in 2006. The business remains family-owned, with Ron DeWeerd as owner and CEO, supported by his wife, Nancy, and sons Joel Baugh and Jared DeWeerd.
