Our team consists of experienced professionals who have been providing services to the greater Sandpoint area for more than 15 years. With years of local knowledge and expertise, we offer a wide range of services including heating and cooling needs for residential and commercial properties.

We are a proud dealer of Carrier Products and offer expertise in servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC, and refrigeration systems. Our residential services include providing any heating and cooling needs for your home, including gas, electric, and radiant systems. We also offer complete heating and cooling systems installation that fit your specific needs.

Our History

Pend Oreille Mechanical was founded in 2001 by the Dishong family. In 2022, Nick Higgs, a long-time employee and manager at POM, and his partner Sammy Jo Pitts, took over the business and continue its legacy of quality service and craftsmanship installs for new construction. Both Nick and Sammy Jo were born and raised in the area and have a passion for supporting their community through quality service as well as creating lifetime career opportunities for their hard-working employees.

• Heating: Our service technicians have over 30 years of combined experience on HVAC systems. They have both worked in the area for 15+ years and bring an extensive knowledge set to every customer's unique needs. POM is happy to provide both maintenance and service to almost any brand of furnace or heat pump.

• Air Conditioning: Call an expert you can trust when your air conditioning is letting you down. The crew at POM provides both routine maintenance and service to almost every brand of A/C unit or Mini Split on the market.

• Boiler Systems: When your radiant is acting up, our technicians will know just what to do. Our crew has an extensive knowledge of many boiler system set-ups and are ready to face any challenge that may arise. POM offers yearly maintenance appointments as well as service to boiler ran radiant systems.

• Indoor Air Quality: The air we breathe can have a large affect on our overall health. There are several factors that contribute to indoor air quality, and POM is here to help you improve it.
