Georgia-SMACNA, Inc., a chapter of SMACNA (Sheet Metal Air Conditioning Contractors' National Association), is a statewide trade association representing the industry's most innovative and forward-thinking sheet metal contractors. Our association is committed to promoting quality and excellence in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry. We are contractors who specialize in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Architectural & Industrial sheet metal, Manufacturing, Testing & Balancing, and Energy management.

• Educational Seminars & Training: We offer educational seminars and training throughout the year for supervisors, foremen, project managers, and owners. We also provide access to the educational opportunities provided by SMACNA, which includes regional seminars and the annual convention.
• Labor Relations: We provide labor relations and collective bargaining services with the SMART Local Union No. 85. Our members also have access to pre-employment qualifications, continuing education opportunities, and safety regulations that support a healthy working environment.
• Technical Standards: We host technical seminars on various SMACNA technical standards for our members and the design community. Our members also have direct access to SMACNA's technical department, which provides professional assistance with interpretations/applications of SMACNA technical standards and updates on building codes and technical activities that impact our members and the industry.
• Legislative Advocacy: We are actively involved with SMACNA's Capitol Hill office to address legislative issues that affect our members. We also meet regularly with Georgia's Senators and Congressmen to keep them up-to-date on issues of concern for our members.

Board of Directors

Our association is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of five (5) Directors. Our Board of Directors works tirelessly to ensure that we remain a leading trade association in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry.

Standing Committees

Our association has several standing committees that are dedicated to specific areas of focus. These committees are:

• Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee: Our committee focuses on developing and implementing apprenticeship programs that provide trainees with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the sheet metal and air conditioning industry.
• Health and Welfare Committee: Our committee is responsible for developing and implementing benefit programs that support the health and welfare of our members and their families.
• Pension Fund Committee: Our committee is responsible for managing the pension fund that provides retirement benefits to our members.
• Industry Fund Committee: Our committee is responsible for developing and implementing programs that support the growth and development of our members.
• Joint Conference Committee: Our committee is responsible for organizing and hosting our annual conference, which provides opportunities for our members to network and learn from industry experts.
