The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association (PHCC) of San Diego is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing and educating the plumbing and HVACR industry. With a rich history dating back to 1883, the PHCC of San Diego chapter has been committed to providing training resources for plumbing and HVACR professionals in the local community.

Our Commitment

Our commitment to our contractors is everything. We believe that the heart of the PHCC beats at the same pulse as our original founders. Even after 140 years, the importance and excitement of the PHCC mission have not been diluted. Our mission is to advance and educate the plumbing and HVACR industry for society's health, safety, and comfort, and to protect the environment.

Our History

The PHCC San Diego chapter was founded in 1892, just nine years after the National Association of Master Plumbers was founded. The chapter has continued to advance the legacy initiatives of its founders, providing training resources for plumbing and HVACR professionals in the local community.

Our Academy

In 2013, the PHCC of San Diego saw the opportunity to provide local tradesmen with a platform for continued education and growth through a journey-level plumbing apprentice program. The PHCC of San Diego Academy was formed, and has since become a 501(c)3 trade school, federally accredited by the Department of Labor Bureau of Apprenticeship Training. The Academy offers a nine-month HVAC-R certification program, as well as other programs, including back-flow certification.
