We needed serious boiler repair quickly and my "preferred membership" at my usual company meant a 10 day wait for service. They came out, diagnosed the problem and repaired it the day the part was available. Friendly, reasonable price and very responsive. We obviously have a new go-to company for service. Wheeler HVAC

I own a local business in Nassau and these guys are our go-to for everything! I can't say enough about their quality of their work, service & personalities. No job is too big or small for The Wheeler team. Our furnace went out in the dead of Winter last year. Aaron & the team were on site at the store the same day to get to work. Within just a few days, we had a whole new system (along with new duct work) up and running. This area is so luck to have them.

We've used Wheeler for years for our annual tune ups, and we just recently had them install a ductless split in our new home! They did a wonderful job, and it is lovely being so cool in this awful heat. We highly recommend them for your HVAC needs. Highly recommend them. They came out to fix my boiler on the coldest day of the year when all the bigger companies told me a week. Also had 2 other companies previously fix it and didnt fix it right. Their tech came in showed me everything told me exactly what it was he went got parts came back did the install and once again walked me thru what he was doing and now my boiler is running smooth. Awesome company

Mike, Zach, and Aaron were all extremely helpful, responsive, and courteous in repairing our AC blower motor. They worked to get the parts for the repair in a timely manner and also made sure to check the warranty for the part. Would 100% recommend them for AC repair and install (they had installed the system for the previous owners and we can tell they took great care in putting it in).

I called Wheeler Heating & Cooling on 5/20 and they were able to send a technician out the next day. He arrived on time and was extremely professional. He immediately diagnosed my AC issue as a faulty capacitor and replaced the piece right away. He was in an out within 30 minutes. Ultimately I had a relatively easy issue to fix, but I've no doubt he would have been just as efficient at diagnosing and fixing something more significant. I thought the price was fair for the service. I would certainly recommend Wheeler to others.

So I just moved in to a new house and 2nd day in the boiler starts leaking water from a relief valve. I had no experience so I called a friend who recommend them and called them immediately. It was late at night but the owner got back to me in minutes. He explained what to do until they got someone over to me in the morning. No other place would even tell you what to do without trying to get 1k out of you.
They came the next day at the time frame they gave me and took care of everything. No bs just what needed tending to. Very pleasant people and upfront. I will definitely call them again for the the regular system maintenance. Hopefully I won't need them for anything major lol. Great people great service you can't go wrong and the prices are right in the mid range with above average quality.

My water heater failed on a home I had just purchased. Wheeler Heating and Cooling was recommended by a friend and they came over a couple hours later. They gave me a few choices to remedy the situation. I chose to install a new water heater. The price was reasonable and two days later we received removal of the old unit and installation of the new one.
The work was high quality, they were always on time, and they explained everything to me and answered any question I had. I would highly recommend Wheeler Heating and Cooling.

I love this company. These guys are the best. I'm a repeat customer. They came out and fixed my furnace one winter and then fixed my ac another summer. The company that installed the equipment skipped a few steps and Wheeler fixed it. I havent had a problem since. I now call them to do the regular maintenance on my system.

I made a panicked call to Mr. Wheeler this morning because a family member's furnace wasn't working. He had the furnace fixed before noon and patiently helped me understand the long term prospects for the equipment. His price was totally acceptable. Thank you, after your competitor left us high and cold for the night, because well I guess to get an time for them to show up you have to be a special customer, or forget about it, they can showed up anytime 24 hours, my husband called you. You were able to give him a time, you showed up, got it working within a half hour. told him what he needs to look out for but mo pressure or anything.

I highly recommend Wheeler. They are replacing an AC unit for us. They were very low pressure and actually cared about what is best for us. Every other quote tried to up sell us on everything. Mike was great and told us what was really needed and what was extras that we could buy but are not necessary. Thanks!

These guys are fantastic. Great service, competent technicians, and reasonable prices. When my whole house A/C system stopped working, I called them at 8:00am and I had a tech on my doorstep at 9:30am! Best of all, he actually really knew his stuff, having grown up in the business. This is a small family business that treats their customers right.

I was afraid that my 15 year old A/C system had finally reached the end of it's life and I told the tech as much, but he ran some tests and determined that it was just a bad capacitor (the cheapest thing to replace!). Not only was he honest about what need to be fixed, he actually had the right part on his truck and fixed it right then and there.
After he had it up and running, he noticed that it wasn't running quite as efficiently as it should be, and took the time to figure out that it was because there were a bunch of vents closed causing back-pressure on the system. I couldn't be more pleased.

Wheeler Heating & Cooling replaced our 28 year old central air unit. This is a local, family-owned business (father and 3 sons). Aaron and his two brothers showed up exactly on time and got straight to work. They were finished in 5 hours. They took away all of the old equipment and cleaned up after themselves. Left the yard and furnace room immaculate.
They went over the whole unit, inside and out, with us and patiently answered all of our questions. Their price for the equipment and labor was very reasonable and honest. I highly recommend Wheeler Heating & Cooling!

Fast response, expert and professional service. I called on a Monday because my home furnace was making a lot of noise. They sent out a technician the same day who diagnosed the problem as a dying motor. We decided to replace the aging furnace rather than the motor. I had a new operational furnace four days later. The new furnace works great and is much more efficient than the one we replaced. I am very pleased with their service.

Wheeler Heating and Cooling came to my house earlier this month to replace my 65 year old steam boiler. They were very competitively priced with their estimate. We had several estimates and Wheeler beat the large majority of them price wise (especially the "big" companies). They seemed the most knowledgeable and thorough during the estimate and ultimately that's why we chose them. Mike and two of his sons showed up right at 9am on the day of the install and were completely finished with the install of the new boiler and removal of the old boiler by 4:30.
They also did a great job cleaning up afterwards. I'm someone who does a lot of business via email and every time I had a question (leading up to and after the install) I'd send Mike an email and have an answer within the hour which was very convenient. They provided me with all the information that I needed to get my National Grid rebate and register my new boiler. Overall it was a very easy process and we love our new system. I plan to use them for all of my future heating/cooling needs and would recommend them to anyone.

I just want to have this post read by anyone looking to become customers of Wheeler Heat and Cooling. I have been a satisfied customer since June of 2012, when Mike and his boys came to the rescue of my central a/c when it bailed on me during the hottest day of that year. Keep in mind that a few months prior, a large local firm inspected and found my furnace and a/c in great shape and in no need of replacement. Wheeler was on-site within the hour, and found my system in such bad shape, they took photos in dis-belief! Needless to say, they were back in the morning to do the job with an efficient system at the right price.
In addition, we now have adequate heating and cooling to a room over the garage that the previous dealer said was not possible. Since then we have have recommended Wheeler to our daughter and son in-law as well many others. Bottom line.you can depend on Wheeler for an honest review of your system and needs and technicians who are courteous and knowledgeable. Got questions or concerns, contact me. I wish there were more businesses around today that have the same ethic and knowledge available for us!

He not only services my Bryant heat pumps but now also services my oil furnaces in both homes after I learned that they were not being serviced properly by a different company. I have found that Wheeler HVAC is responsive and considerate if you are encountering a problem, need information or assistance in trying to understand how something in your unit operates or if you have an emergency. In addition to the above, Michael Wheeler and his sons are very personable and intelligent which makes having them work in your home very comfortable.

UPDATE 5/2014: We had a check up on the new AC system because it's a year old now. Awesome service. No big issues, only a small leak into the drip pan, which he fixed in no time. Highly recommended! 5/2013: My fiance and I were lucky to find Wheeler among the large quantity of HVAC companies in the Capital Region. They were very easy to work with from quote to finish. Michael Wheeler and his 3 sons worked tirelessly on a hot day in an even hotter attic to install our new unit and even moved the new outdoor condenser to a better, more out of the way location.
The job they did replacing our AC was very professional and so far the system is working great! I would not hesitate to recommend Wheeler to anyone looking for Heating & Cooling install, repair or maintenance and would certainly do business with them again in the future. Thanks Terri, thanks guys!

Mike and his team corrected a poor A/C install in my attic, that had leaked water onto the living room ceiling and estroyed the ceiling drywall. He worked on short notice, did a thorough job, cleaned up well and showed a distinct interest in what mattered to me. Great service. I recommended him to a friend that had a boiler incorrectly installed, and Mike took the time to show the homeowner all the things the original installer missed, corrected all the issues in one day and was, simply, honest, efficient and helpful beyond measure.

We had a great experience with Wheeler. The office staff was extremely courteous and worked with our schedule to plan an inspection visit. The inspection team member walked us through what he was going to look for and clearly had an expert knowledge of our home's unit. He explained the results of our inspection in plain English, and didn't try to pressure us to purchase unnecessary replacements or repairs. All-in-all, working with Wheeler was a pleasant experience and we look forward to many more winters, and summers, with them as our heating and cooling inspectors.

I was extremely impressed with these guys. First off, they are actually willing to work with your schedule which is more than I can say for some of the other heating and cooling companies around here. Wheeler was polite, prompt and they seem to have a vast knowledge of each unit they are working on. I would definitely recommend them.
