Cool Works Heating & Cooling is an air conditioning company that is 100% focused on the cooling and heating systems of your home or office. We are dedicated to providing the best service 100% of the time.

Our owner, Jim Hoffman, is a long-time resident of Manatee County, now living in Parrish. He has been married to his wife, Cindy since 1989 and they have one daughter, Meghan. Jim is a Marine Corp. veteran, and has worked since 2005, as a NATE certified HVAC service technician. Jim has worked for both small independent A/C companies to large corporations, working on both residential service and repair as well as new construction, working from the ground up. Jim isn't a manager who stays in the office, but actively works in the field and is current on the newest A/C systems and technology.

Our Services

Our mission is to provide the best service 100 % percent of the time. We offer a variety of services including repair, replacement when needed, free second opinions, full maintenance, and improved indoor air quality products. Our pricing is simple! You are charged $89 diagnostic charge, which includes the travel to your home and to diagnose what is wrong with your system. All repairs are pre-approved by you so there are no surprises when your technician hands you the bill.

Service Areas

We service Ruskin, Sun City Center, Manatee & Sarasota Counties. We make every effort to keep in touch with you on the day of your appointment! We follow up with reminder emails and our service technicians will notify you by text message when they are on their way to your scheduled appointment. If it's too hot to wait in your home, feel free to go to work, hang out with friends, etc. - we will give you a 30-minute window to return to meet with the technician. Just give us a call or text when you receive the technician's "On My Way" text message, to notify us that you are on your way back home and the time frame you expect to arrive.

STOP THE REPAIRS! Mechanical breakdowns happen at the most inconvenient times, and most repairs are due to maintenance-related issues. Backed-up drain lines and bad capacitors are the most common failures. To prevent or at least minimize this risk we offer a range of quality maintenance plans from one-time maintenance at $89 to twice a year plans starting at $149.
