Over the years, we have evolved into a well-funded and well-planned full-service mechanical contractor, driven by a passion to offer a more professional business partnership to General Contractors servicing the Western Slope of Colorado and surrounding areas. We are also licensed to work in North Dakota and Montana.

Our History

Our journey began when President Ricky Houtris, a mechanical engineering expert, joined forces with Phil Herrera and Tom Vagell to establish 2H Mechanical LLC. With over three decades of combined experience in the construction industry, we have honed our skills in mechanical contracting, plumbing, and HVAC services. We have worked with numerous clients across various sectors, including Government, Oil and Gas, Medical, and Residential and Commercial sectors.

Our Team

At the helm of our organization is Ricky Houtris, a seasoned engineer with an honors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Bank University in London. Under his leadership, we have developed innovative solutions to streamline communication systems with our clients. One such system is DocSavy, a cutting-edge document management system that enables our foremen to access and enter documentation on job sites in remote locations.

Our team also includes Bookkeeper Ann Taylor, who has over 30 years of experience in accounting and finance. As our Corporate Bookkeeper, she ensures that our financial operations run smoothly. Joining us is VP Operations Tom Vagell, a highly experienced project manager with over 42 years of experience in the construction industry. Tom has managed numerous large-scale projects, including educational facilities, residential developments, and commercial properties.

Our Commitment

Our Facility

In March 2018, we relocated to our new 15,000 square foot facility, which includes a 4,800 spare foot storage tent. This move enabled us to upgrade our shop with state-of-the-art equipment, including a JWT coil line and a Namcore Spiral machine. This investment has enabled us to expand our sheet metal fabrication capabilities, making us the largest sheet metal fabrication facility between Denver and Salt Lake City.
