In 1936, Edwin Walters, along with his brother Alfred and his wife Irene, founded The Walters Company during a pivotal moment in American history when the transition from ice boxes to refrigerators was underway. Recognizing the need for reliable and accessible HVAC services, they became the Westinghouse distributor in Schenectady.
