At Ballard Plumbing Heating & Air Conditioning, we are a family-owned and operated company that has been serving the Inland Empire for over 75 years. Our history begins with our founders, Lohman and Elizabeth Ballard, who started our company in 1949. For four generations, we have been committed to providing top-quality services and products to our customers.

Our Story

Lohman Ballard came to San Bernardino from Kentucky in the early 1940s, seeking new opportunities and a better life for his family. He brought his wife, Elizabeth, and their eight children to California, and began working on the railroad during the winter months. As his reputation for fair and responsive service grew, Lohman's plumbing business began to flourish. His son-in-law, Gene Montano, joined the company in 1956 and expanded the services to include air conditioning. Today, Lohman's grandsons, Dennis and Mike Montano, and several fourth-generation Ballards are among our employees.
