Founded in 1905, Menser Inc. is a family-owned and operated plumbing, heating, and air conditioning company that has been serving the Somerset County area for over 115 years. Our remarkable company has been built on a foundation of exceptional service, quality workmanship, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Our History

Menser Inc. was founded by W.E. Menser in 1905 as a plumbing and heating business. At the time, many homes did not have indoor plumbing, and W.E. would receive his materials by train car. In 1973, Kenneth W. and Margaret F. Menser took over the company and renamed it Kenneth W. Menser Plumbing and Heating. After Kenneth's sudden passing in 1982, Margaret became the principal owner and sole proprietor of the company. Over the years, the company has grown and evolved under the leadership of Margaret, who continued to expand the business and train her children, Todd E. Menser and Marilyn M (Menser) Laughery.

Our Legacy

In 2019, Matthew and Jennifer Bittinger purchased Menser Inc. and became the fourth generation of the Menser family to own and operate the business. With over 22 years of experience in the industry, Matthew and Jennifer have continued to build upon the strong foundation established by their predecessors.
